You must assume that your client or your colleague is not as skilled at communicating as you are.  You have professional training in communication and a great deal of experience.  Most likely your client or colleague has not had any training.  If you could make your presentation in 10 minutes then allow 20 minutes.

 

Wherever you can, use asynchrony over synchrony (21), speak last (31), pause (32), wait (33).
