Our New
Arrival
"This summer on May 29, we went over
to the Bethel Regional Hospital to pick up our new adopted baby boy.
His name is Kenneth Cyrus Patrick Fitka. His first name Kenneth is
after his grandpa Charlie Heckman's middle name; his middle name,
Cyrus, after my husband David's middle name; and Patrick, after his
biological dad's name. He weighed 8 lbs and 5 oz., and was 20 inches
long.
We first heard about him when he was
three months along the way. As the time came closer to his arrival we
were getting more excited. Then when the day came for him to be born,
Kim and I went over to Bethel to await his arrival. It was the first
time Kim had watched a real live birth. Everything went well, and now
he's here with us. He is growing so fast. He already weighs about 20
lbs and measures 24 inches long. He likes to coo a lot and loves all
the attention he gets. We love him very much and we are all so
thankful that Patrick and Marianne didn't change their minds. They
brought a very special gift to us."
