Willie Fitka's Good But Bad Fish Opening

Fabe's most memorable fishing period was the one near the end of June. He said the best part of it was catching lots of king salmon. The parts that he didn't like were the bad weather and the big waves. His engine wires were shorting out on him during the opening so a Pilot Station man had to help him set his net by pulling the back of

Willies boat. He had to start his motor by pull starting it every time he had to go somewhere of if it stopped. When they were drifting Terence, Willie's crew hand, would steer the boat by paddling while Willie would be trying to fix his motor.

Willie said the prices for king salmon were too low this summer. He would have enjoyed this opening much more if the prices were higher for the kings and if his motor wasn't having problems.
