WHAT TO TEACH:
1. U.S.G.S maps (one set for each group).
2. felt-tipped markers.
3. note pads and pens or pencils.
Students will conduct interviews, take notes,
and have people mark their areas/sites on the maps,
using the symbols they have chosen.
Encourage students if they seem shy. Choose
examples from questionnaires for tomorrow's
orthography class. Placenames mentioned in
interviews may also be used.
